InReach interface

Do you get tired from constantly moving you fingers here and there across the screen to tap tabs and menus? Do you find you have to clean your screen often? The InReach interface alleviates these problems by placing tabs and menu buttons at the bottom of the screen. Ｔhis allows you to perform almost all operations, including switching tabs by a thumb slide, from the bottom of the screen, with two hands on iPad and one hand on iPhone/iPod touch. The number of hand movements are thus kept to a minimum - this "just grab it and use it" concept is a key point of iLunascape.

Switch tabs with thumb slide

Jumping between tabs is easy and fast with a "thumb slide" action, making it a trivial task to activate the tab you want with the same hand you are holding the device with.

Restore your tabs

Any tabs that are open when closing iLunascape are restored and displayed when restarting iLunascape.

Display search results and bookmarks in a new tab

In iLunascape, there are two settings for opening pages in a new tab. First, you can specify that search results should automatically open in a new tab. Second, you can specify whether or not to open bookmarks in a new tab. These settings are both convenient if you don't want to leave the current page when searching or browsing bookmarks.

Save a page to read it offline

Are you going somewhere you can't connect to the internet before you could finish reading a page? Just save it in iLunascape and read it later offline. iLunascape is a truly mobile browser that lets you view web pages anywhere, anytime.

Online Bookmarks

You can download bookmarks from Lunascape on your PC as well as from Firefox to iLunascape, via our Firefox Sync compatible feature Online Bookmarks.

Switch user agent

Switch user agent to view pages as they would appear in IE, Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, Safari, Lunascape, or the mobile device of your choice.

Printing

You can print sites or documents you come across while browsing if your printer supports AirPrint.

Fast scrolling

Long web pages and large pictures are quickly scrolled down thanks to efficient display.

Easy searching

Tapping the search button in the lower left corner brings up the search box with buttons for major search sites listed below it, including Amazon, Wikipedia etc.

Seal In Browser

To allow for safer web surfing, we have developed the Seal In Browser feature, in cooperation with Verisign, Inc. This feature displays the Norton Secured seal in the address bar for sites that have been certified not to be infected with malware, and that have been certified to be run by a real company.

Real tabbed browsing

Just like in the Lunascape browser for Windows, iLunascape lets you keep several tabs open simultaneously. Since the tab contents are stored at all times, there is no waiting for contents to reload when switching between tabs. You can open pages in several tabs at your leisure and switch between them instantly with thumb slides. Naturally you can control behavior like opening search results in a new tab, restoring tabs, etc.

New tabs and background tabs

Hold down on a link or picture to display the tap-hold menu. To open it in a new active tab, select "Open Link in New Tab", and to open it in a background (inactive) tab select "Open in Background Tab".

Highlighted Search and Translate

The popular "Highlighted Search" function of the PC version is now available also in iLunascape. Simply highlight a word or a sentence with your finger to search or translate it.

Find In Page

Use the Find In Page function to locate a word within the page currently visible on your screen. When you execute a Find In Page search, the number of search hits will be displayed, and the search string will be highlighted wherever it appears within the page.

Read It Later

Do you want to read the current page later on your PC or tablet? With iLunascape's Read It Later support you can store news and links for later reading on a PC.

Social networks integration

iLunascape comes with support for social network services like Facebook and Twitter, as well as e-mail, Read It Later, Dropbox, etc. It is quick and easy to share links and news you come across while browsing with iLunascape, via Facebook, Twitter or e-mail. By sending a URL to Read It Later you can view it later from a PC or mobile device, at your leisure. You can moreover share saved pictures and files efficiently between devices and people by uploading them to Dropbox.

Back up data with Dropbox

You can store backups of your iLunascape settings, bookmarks, history, downloaded files etc in Dropbox, and later restore that data to your mobile device.

Rotation lock

Do you find it annoying that the screen rotates when you are trying to browse on your iPad device lying down? With iLunascape you can prevent the screen from rotating even when the rotation lock is inactive on the device itself.

Save sites

With the Save Page function you can save the current page as an image (.jpg), an .html file, or as an actual webarchive.

Save pictures

Holding down on a picture will display the tap-hold menu, in which you can select "Save Image" to save the picture as a file. It will then show up in the "Files" list with file name, URL, date and size, and can be uploaded to Dropbox.

Character encoding

In addition to Unicode and other major character encodings, you can now choose among 39 other encodings, all but eliminating the problem of corrupted characters in web pages.
