Lunascape Support Forum

Hi Everyone, I am new to Lunascape but I do love it already! Straight forward and once I started finding how to set it up I now have a sweet clean browser page!

One issue though I do not want to install IE7/8 on my computer. I have an older system, that uses XP Pro and I actually rolled back to SP2 due to SP3 and dot_netframework_3 causing multiple issues.

Well I downloaded Lunascape6, and installed. All of my sites load well except for Daz3D.com It detects that I have IE6. So I went and downloaded FF4.0.1 as a backup. But I get the same warning.

So my question is, how do I get Lunascape to see that I have FF installed? So that other sites not yet Lunascape friendly see this? I use the Trident feature mostly as almost every site I go to is windows based in thier builds.

Your help is really appreciated.

Oh one other question. I have not downloaded any products yet, but when I do how do I select where to download to? I always download to my "D" drive, or to my external storage device.

From what you're saying, I guess you are using Trident as your default engine. When using Trident, Lunascape refers to your IE version, so if you have IE6 in your PC, your Trident version is equivalent to the IE6 you have. As long as you're using Trident engine to view the site, you're using your IE to view the site. Downloading FF 4.0.1 is nothing to do with Lunascape 'coz your Gecko engine does not refer to your FF in your PC. Lunascape comes with its own Gecko engine. If you want to view the site with Gecko engine, you can easily change your engine from Trident to Gecko for that site only by right-clicking the engine selection icon on your Address bar and select "Gecko (FF)".

Your download destination should be the same as your IE's setting.

I am finding as I work with LS I see some of my questions are redundant now... sorry! I did not know about the IE tho. And Geckop works just fine now.

As for downloading no issues I downloaded 3 files last nite that were all 2.75 GBs, 720 MBs & 600 MBs... no issues at all and I had all the download settings I needed.

One comment about the interface... there are so many redundant tool buttons and drop downs. It was a bit daunting getting the tool bars fixed. Maybe you could consider trimming that part a bit?!
