I'd like to see the Primo engine (used in Opera) added to Lunascape's engine options at some point in the future. Opera is increasingly popular, so it would be useful for web designers to see how their sites would appear on opera and for users to be able to view opera-optimized sites (though, admittedly, they aren't huge in number) on a Lunascape browser.

There are a indeed a lot of requests to have Opera's engine in Lunascape as a fourth option. But that engine is unfortunately not open source and therefore not available to those who do not pay their licence fee.

By the way: Opera's engine is called "Presto".

IF lunascape could get a sponsor and IF they could get an agreement with Opera, than maybe we could make it work, right?

Hi nickedward23,

Are you talking to me?

Well, your idea is very interesting. I'd like to know how do you think Kmart or Walmart will benefit from sponsoring us. Maybe you have breakthrough ideas ;)

Having said that, it is not common for a web browser company to have "sponsors" in that matter and it's more likely to have investors to support IT startups building businesses.

I see how a big company like WalMart could benefit from a web browser sponsorship:
-On the main site, you could have a small banner ad for the store
-When you download, it would offer a sponsors toolbar
-While downloading, an add appears on the window for the company
-Finally, on the first run, the browser opens two tabs; One for the sponsors website, one for the homepage
Any thoughts?

Adding to that:
The sponsoring company could adapt it to be a custom browser for the stores

Hi nickedward23,

Thanks for sharing your ideas. Yes, they are interested in Ads, but they can get more impressions by investing on Google Ads nowadays. Also, we do not want to make Lunascape some sort of Ads browser.

Anyway, thanks.
