Hello Everyone,

It has been a while since we've started talking about a localization system, but now here you are!

PLEASE READ before Using the System
[1] We're taking this localization project carefully with different phases, and now it is in our 1st Phase.
In Phase 1, we only open the currently available languages in Lunascape.
(Chinese/English/French/German/Italian/Korean/Portuguese/Russian/Spanish).

[2] In Phase 2, which we anticipate to be sometime around beginning of Aug 2010, the rest of languages currently not available in Lunascape will be opened for translation, and users should be able to use the system to suggest changes.

How to Use Lunascape Localizer
In Phase 1, the system is not fully opened to public. Therefore, we ONLY accept suggestions from you in the following method.
(1) Create a Topic in this forum with a screen shot attachment and suggestion.
- Topic title (=Subject) MUST be [language]{description of a screen shot}.
---> E.g. [English] Menu Bar > File
- Message body MUST contain suggested translation change.
- MUST attache a screen short of the place where you'd like to suggest a change(s).
(2) Create a Topic in this forum with an identified area thru the Lunascape Localizer.
- Topic title (=Subject) MUST be [language]{a file name}.
---> E.g. [Russian] BCGControlBar.po
- Message body MUST contain 1) Original Text in English, 2) Original Translated Text, 3) Suggested Translation.

How long does it take until I get the confirmation email from Lunascape Localizer?
It is now about 4 hours ago when I registered. I also checked Spam and Trash folders in my mailbox but there is no email from Lunascape.

The password is needed to create a new topic in this forum.
But as long as I do not get a confirmation email I cannot complete registration and I cannot help you improving the German translation.

Apologies. I've updated the permission setting for this forum. Now, you can create a new topic without any login information.

For the confirmation email, would you please try register again, OR confirm us if a username, Nosey, would be you? (If so, we can confirm thu the system manually).

Ok, then registering at the Lunascape Localizer (Pootle system) is not imperative. I can choose between two methods for translating, either by screenshots in this forum or by the Pootle system. Right?

Yes, at Phase1, it is "either or".

We've activated you in the Localization system manually, so you should be able to log in.

Sorry for bothering you again with silly questions about the Pootle system.
But I am new on using this translation platform and despite reading through the help page some things are not clear.

1. To edit a translation they say I have to move the mouse cursor all to the right. Then a popup menu should appear in which I should choose "edit".
   But there is no such popup.
2. If I could edit, what had to be translated - the English text in the column "Original" or the English text in the column "Übersetzung" (translation)?
   Sometimes these texts are completely different. See marked text in the attached screenshot.
3. Is there a way to see in which context these terms/texts are used?
   Or shall I translate them word by word (in a correct grammatical order) without knowing what they really want to explain? - In certain circumstances, that might be confusing for the Lunascape users.

Sorry for my late response.

Unfortunately, with the current phase, the pootle does not allow registered users to edit anything, but view...
We're going to allow users to edit sometime from the end of July.
