I'll be willing to give Lunascape a chance to see what I can do with it; Hoping to see it become a fast evolving browser.

This looks like a GREAT BEGINNING and I am a die hard Firefox/Flock user. If you did make their add-ons compatible, I would like to use Lunascape as my default browser bar none. One other suggestion...whether it's an add-on or built in, please give it a password manager or I have I missed something!?
Thanks...I am excited about this browser!

hey dear testers,
what's keeping you?
you must be aware that firefox plugins are crucial! I'll jump over without hesitation if the plugin-stuff runs ok.
I don't mean to rush you, but last thing we heard was yuki the 22 of september...
can you give us some info on your development and some planning?
thanks

Hi guido, thanks for checking in. We just released Lunascape 6.0.α in Japan (a few hours ago) that is compatible with Firefox add-ons! Sneak preview here - http://www.lunascape.jp/lunascape6a/
We have to do some more final works for non-Japanese versions from now, so please give it another few weeks. (assuming you don't want Japanese version) But now you can be rest assured that it is really coming.

Once the new versions of Lunascape are available, will they be able to absorb the patched versions of the other browsers -- especially, Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox 3.5 -- already on our computers, or will we have to upgrade/patch them as well?

Perhaps I should put that another way. Since Trident and Gecko are what Lunascape uses to make itself work like IE and Firefox, will the Lunascape revisions have the appropriate patches/upgrades for those two browsers?

This raises the broader question of how changes to IE and Firefox find their way to Lunascape. Also, do you list anywhere which versions of those two browsers you are currently emulating? I'm pretty sure you're still with IE 7; what version of Firefox are you working with?

Finally, because so many of the patches for IE and Firefox have to do with security leaks, are you notifying Lunascape users directly -- by e-mail, perhaps -- as soon as you have incorporated them? (Of course, if Lunascape works with the versions of those browsers that we already have, this incorporating and notifying will not be necessary.)

I realize that this sounds like a lot to ask, but you have undertaken a major step forward in browser use, so these issues need to be addressed. For me, the major advantage of Lunascape has to do with the fact that I must do all my writing via a voice-activated program (in my case, Dragon NaturallySpeaking preferred 10.1), which is fully browser-compatible only with Internet Explorer and does weird and unpredictable things when used with Firefox. When I'm just browsing however, I prefer Firefox. Until you came along, I had to have both browsers running.

Keep up the good work!

hello yuki
sorry for my late reply, thanks for your quick reply though, it sounds very promising and congatulations with the japanes 6.0 outcome, but, for now, my japanese is limited to hara kiri and soy sauce I suppose this is a bit too limitative as a user :D .
I'm quit thrilled to see what is the outcome!
keep on testing
interesting question from the last guest

guido
