Hi EXcel,

The support team has tested to see if we can replicate the problem you've encountered.
However, the results are same as what I've had, which is changes in font size will be carried on to a new tab when using Trident and Gecko engines.

One alternatives you may want to try is the following steps although it only works for sites saved as favorites.
1. From the Sidebar, open Favorites window.
2. Right click on a favorite site that you'd like to set a font scale, go to Properties.
3. Click "Status" tab and select "Each item has its status."
4. Set "Zoom" % as you like.
5. Close the window.

Thanks for supporting Lunascape!

Hi there, sorry to reopen this, but i have a zoom/scaling problem as well. When i open lunascape the zoom function is automatically set to 100%, when i change it down to my preferred setting (75%), lock the zoom and then exit the browser, the next time i open the browser, it defaults back to 100%, very frustrating!

I have tried to save to profile in case that was it but no joy also tried to set custom zoom and lock it but that doesn't work either.

Lunascape Core Version 6.3.0.22683 / Unicode
Operating System Version 6.0.6002
Internet Explorer Version 8.0.6001.18943
Gecko Plugin Version 3.5.11 / Gecko 1.9.1.11
WebKit Plugin Version 1.3.7 / WebKit 533.3 r56034

Many thanks for a great browser.

Hi thefather,

Thanks for using Lunascape.

Would you let me know which engine you use?

I'll look into the issue and let you know the result asap.

Thanks,

Hi Sarah, it happens to all 3. Thanks, also with i am having problems with the engine auto switch function - it seems not to remember the settings and just goes to the default engine on each visit.

Many thanks for the quick reply.

Hi thefather,

As for the scaling issue you're having, the zoom level stays as I specified when I'm opening the same web page after restarting the Lunascape with Gecko. The "Lock Zoom" is grayed out in Gecko, but the setting will still work.

Would you try this and let me know the outcome?

Thanks

Hi Sarah, ok - started off with webkit (default engine), typed any old crap into the search engine, loaded the page, went into view - text - zoom - made it 75% (lock zoom is greyed out), exited lunascape, opened it again - and back it went to 100% zoom. Did the same with trident, this time locked the zoom, exited, opened again with webkit as defauly, flicked over to trident - 100% zoom. Did the same with gecko, same thing happened as with the rest.

Am i personally doing something wrong? I would've thought Lunascape would automatically save these options after you specified them on exit.

Hi thefather,

Would you provide me the following info?

1) Your OS and version
2) Your PC spec

Meanwhile, I'll double-check with the dev team, what is the 'per-spec' behavior of the zoom in Lunascape (with each rendering engine).

Thank you

Hi Sarah, i'm using the following:
Microsoft Vista Home Premium Version 6.0 (Build 6002: Service pack 2)

I have a Dell Studio 1737 laptop Pentium T3200 2GHZ with 3gb ram

Lunascape version:
Lunascape Core Version 6.3.0.22683 / Unicode
Operating System Version 6.0.6002
Internet Explorer Version 8.0.6001.18943
Gecko Plugin Version 3.5.11 / Gecko 1.9.1.11
WebKit Plugin Version 1.3.7 / WebKit 533.3 r56034

Default rendering engine (currently) is trident - but if the auto switching and zoom gets sorted, will probably switch to gecko.

Many thanks.

Hi thefather,

Thank you for patiently waiting for our response.

Just wanted to follow up on your issue by asking whether or not the latest version fix it.

Thanks,

The ideal Zoom level cannot be kept in Private Browsing mode. If there only was a way around this, but for mow I am using NoSquint. The only problem is that percentages above 100% make the page load in bits and it is not smooth.
Also when using the text zoom level within Lunascape the size does not stay the same for each tab, you have to set it each time then it will remember it, judging how many site there are on the web this would be very time consuming.
